Tennis elbow (outer) and golfer's elbow (inner) are tendon problems at the elbow caused by repetitive gripping and wrist load — and despite the names, most people who get them have never swung a racquet.
What it is
Tennis elbow (outer) and golfer's elbow (inner) are tendon problems at the elbow caused by repetitive gripping and wrist load — and despite the names, most people who get them have never swung a racquet. Keyboards, tools, and lifting are the usual culprits.
How we treat it
Tendons recover through progressive loading, not rest — so treatment centres on a graded strengthening program for the forearm, alongside hands-on therapy for symptom relief and practical changes to the tasks that aggravate it. We'll also advise on braces honestly: useful for some, unnecessary for others.
