What it is
Carpal tunnel syndrome is compression of the median nerve as it passes through the wrist, classically causing night-time numbness and tingling in the thumb and first fingers. General wrist pain from repetitive strain is just as common — and treatable.
How we treat it
Treatment includes nerve gliding exercises, night splint guidance, ergonomic and load changes, and strengthening for the wrist and hand. We're straight with you about severity: mild-to-moderate carpal tunnel responds well to conservative care, and if your presentation suggests a surgical opinion is warranted, we'll say so and coordinate with your physician.
